ESSN's predecessor was founded in 2010, rooted in the fertile land of Donghai County, Jiangsu Province. Over the past sixteen years, we have grown from a start-up into one of only two companies in China and one of only four worldwide capable of mass-producing high-purity quartz sand for photovoltaic and semiconductor applications. Along the way, we have always upheld the principle of "steady progress for development, working together to draw the blueprint," remaining firm in our convictions and grounded in practical work. We provide essential quartz materials for the country's integrated circuit, photovoltaic and semiconductor industries, actively explore new technologies and processes, and strive to advance China's chip industry and jointly realize the grand vision of a "China Chip."
Looking back on our entrepreneurial journey, we are deeply proud. High-purity quartz sand, known as the "pearl in the crown" of quartz materials, was long monopolized by foreign companies and became a bottleneck constraining the development of China's photovoltaic and semiconductor industries. We were not daunted by these difficulties; instead, we turned pressure into motivation and blockades into determination to break through. From lighting-grade quartz materials to large-scale production of photovoltaic-grade quartz sand and then to breakthroughs in high-end semiconductor-grade products, we have advanced step by step. With more than a decade of perseverance, we have broken foreign technological monopolies and given China's high-purity quartz sand a voice in the international market. Our photovoltaic- and semiconductor-grade quartz products are moving across the country and around the world along our customers' production lines, supporting China's global leadership in photovoltaics and safeguarding the foundation of our chip industry.
We know that these achievements have not come easily. They belong to every R&D professional who works through the night in the laboratory, every production worker who pursues perfection on the front line, every marketing professional who strives to open new markets, and above all to this great era — a period of strategic opportunity as the country vigorously develops integrated circuits and the photovoltaic new-energy industry.
